Vacations For Teens - Five Affordable Destinations

Five Affordable World Travel Destinations

Locations That Offer More But Cost Less

So you want to travel the world but you have a tight budget? Are you tired of reading about everyone else's exotic adventures and ready to have some of your own? Have you always wanted to take an international vacation but thought you couldn't afford it? There are numerous travel destinations across the world that are both exciting and affordable. Five of them are described here to give you ideas and get you started planning your own getaway.

There are two ways to approach affordable vacations to distant destinations. Either you will save money getting there or the savings will occur once you arrive at your selected spot. If you want the trip there to be affordable, many travel consolidators recommend choosing well-known destinations that are served by numerous airlines and receive millions of travelers each year. The competition for customers usually drives costs down for everything from lodging to tour packages. Airfares between major hubs tend to be more affordable and there are often plenty of discounts and last minute travel deals.

London

In Europe, London is a top pick for affordable vacation destinations, for these exact reasons. Not only do you have more flights to choose from, they are cheaper than if you flew to a more remote location. On average, staying in London may be a bit more expensive than other European destinations, but the seemingly endless choices in hotels, restaurants, transportation, tours, and other travel essentials gives travels opportunities to mold their vacation to fit their budgets. And you can use London as your home base to set out on day trips to other more exotic locations or buy a Eurorail pass and see those more remote countries without the expense of flying there.

Playa del Carmen, Mexico

This theory also works well for traveling in the Caribbean. Belize is an appealing destination, with wonderful Caribbean beaches and a lush tropic setting, but since it has only recently emerged as a popular travel destination, it is more expensive than Cancun, Jamaica or other well-traveled locations along the Mayan Riviera. With fewer flights, getting there is more expensive, and there are few moderate lodging options. Development of larger luxury resorts have begun to boom, but the only real alternative for those on a budget is staying in local facilities that may be hard to locate from home and may be more rustic than most travelers are willing to try.

Although there are many options for affordable vacations in the Caribbean, an excellent pick is Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Accessible via flights to Cancun, which are often some of the cheapest in the region, Playa is just a half hour away. It is filled with a multitude of lodging choices, from expansive luxury resorts on the ocean to quaint but clean hotels downtown. From Playa, travelers can branch out and visit Tulum and other locations on the Mayan Riviera or take the ferry across to the island of Cozumel where snorkeling is prime and the attractions are many.

For Asian destinations, travelers often do better to focus on saving money once they get to their destination. Depending on your country of origin, getting to just about any spot in Asia is going to be a sizable chunk of your travel budget. The difference will come from the cost of lodging, food, entertainment and other travel expenditures once you arrive. By choosing destinations where you get the most for your money, you can save a great deal on your international vacation. A drink or dinner in Tokyo will costs you many times more than what it would in Saigon. The key here is to go where you dollars buy you more and where the local cost of living is low.

Tioman Island

An affordable yet exotic choice for Asia is Malaysia and specifically Tioman Island, knows as the mythical 'Bali Hai' from the film 'South Pacific.' Tioman Island is located at the southern end of the east coast of Malaysia on the South China Sea. It's sandy beaches, bordered by lush jungles and stunning mountains make it a relaxing yet intriguing destination, ideal for sun lovers, snorkelers and divers. The island also has many villages for exploring and shopping. English is widely spoken and the rates are amazingly affordable, with a two night lodging package for a suite at a lovely oceanside resort averaging around 100 U.S. dollars. Typically visitors reach the island via the speed ferry from the mainland. Although the trip can take over two hours, it is enjoyable and provides opportunities for dolphin watching along the way.

Buenos Aires

South American also has many destinations that are affordable because of the savings once you arrive. Locales like Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, the areas top destination, are coming down in price but are still more expensive than cities such as Buenos Aires in Argentina, where the rates are lower and the U.S. dollar goes further.

A huge metropolis that is more European than South American, the city has much to offer including cultural events, thriving nightlife, shopping, local sports, and a host of tours and excursions. La Boca, with its street performers, shops, and unique architecture is a big tourist draw. The large number of choices for lodging, restaurants, and activities provides opportunities for budget travel and savings. Airfare to the city is relatively reasonable for an international destination, with discount fares from the U.S. averaging around $500 round trip. Buenos Aires might not be one of the most exotic or inspiring destinations in South America, but it is a city that everyone should see at least once, and with some of the most affordable rates and fares around, it makes the list as a top South American destination.

Las Vegas

The list would not be complete without a North American destination, and the champ of all affordable locales is Las Vegas. It too is a city that should be seen at least once, and many world travelers return again and again for the gaming, art, shows and people watching that just can't be found anywhere else. Close enough to other top U.S. attractions like the Grand Canyon, Vegas provides other options for those who have had their fill of casinos.

The city has long been known for its cheap vacation packages with hotels and resorts that offer discount rates for rooms, meals and entertainment in hopes of attracting people to their gaming tables. Airfare rates into Vegas are some of the most reasonable in the United States, no matter the origination destination. And with more than 100,000 hotel rooms to choose from, there is sure to be a lodging choice that fits your budget.

The world provides hundreds of affordable travel destinations. With all the options available, there is no excuse to put off that life-long desire to travel to exotic places at the far ends of the earth. Destinations can be researched on the Internet or your travel consolidator can make recommendations and help with locating discount flights and hotel deals that fit your budget. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and explore the world.

The Best Short Haul Winter Sun Holiday Destinations

Following yet another disappointing summer, many of us find our thoughts turning to trying to find some winter sunshine. But long haul holiday destinations are quite often too expensive, or for some of us, the thought of that long flight is just too much to bear, so I'm going to look at some options to help us get away this winter, to holiday destinations all within three hour flights of the UK.

Malta: Malta is a small island just east of Tunisia and south of Sicily, an island that is full of endless activities, stunning scenery, and a captivating history that is guaranteed to keep you busy throughout your stay here. Often referred to as an open air museum, Malta combines its fascinating history with modern cultures to perfection with inspiring castles and striking architecture. You can walk in the footsteps of St Paul in Rabat's catacombs, and see where the Knight's of St John defended Christendom at Fort St Elmo's. You can even walk in the footsteps of famous film stars as movies such as Gladiator, Troy and Alexander were all in part filmed here. There's lively St Julian's, where you might even be lucky enough to catch a top international D.J. at one of the local bars or nightclubs.

The quieter resorts of St Paul's Bay, Bugibba and Qawra are extremely popular during winter and there are two beautiful beaches at Golden Bay and Mellieha It is fair to say that Malta's image has altered vastly over the last thirty years or so; there aren't many holiday destinations that offer the heritage and culture of years gone by with the chance to experience some of the best Mediterranean nightlife around. Its natural beauty draws travelers back to Malta year after year, but its party atmosphere is now attracting the younger generation. Temperatures can fluctuate between early sixties and late seventies and there's always a packed social calendar in Malta so despite it's laid back persona, there's never a dull moment. So for some winter fun with your winter sun, Malta is probably one of the best holiday destinations you could choose.

Tunisia: As far as winter holiday destinations go, is simply one of the very best, but then again you'd expect nothing less with a history that dates back to 814 BC. The historic city of Carthage, a UNESCO world Heritage site, is possibly one of the most breathtaking archaeological sites in the country; built by the Phoenicians, then destroyed and subsequently rebuilt by the Romans its fascination and beauty are practically unrivaled. Some of the finest beaches in Africa are found in Tunisia making it one of the best winter holiday destinations for that much sought after winter sun. Shopping will see you spoiled for choice between cosmopolitan shopping centers with designer outlets; to traditional stalls set in beautiful medina's where you can barter for traditional Arabic souvenirs and authentic African goods. Its landscape is beautifully baron yet perfectly verdant enough to have featured in films such as The English Patient and Star Wars, adding to the fascinating lure of this countries magic. With around five or six hours of sunshine a day, and winter temperatures well into their sixties, Tunisia is an excellent choice among winter holiday destinations.

Costa del Sol: The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular year round holiday destinations, located on the southern coast of mainland Spain, with over 100 miles of coastline and a variety of resorts to select from. The tranquil resort of Nerja is a peaceful haven along a busy coastline; relatively unspoilt you'll find no concrete high rises here, just breathtaking views and pretty coves hugging the sparkling Mediterranean waters. Lively Torremolinos is a vibrant resort linked to neighbouring Benalmadena by a chic, cosmopolitan marina overflowing with everything from small fishing boats to multi million pound yachts and an authentic American paddle steamer.

Benalmadena is one of the most popular family resorts on the Costa del Sol with a wonderful promenade and abundance of bars, shops and restaurants to suit every taste. There's a beautiful park with a lake full of wildlife, a Dolphinarium and Sea Life Center to name just a few of the attractions here. Next stop along the coast is Fuengirola; another favorite choice for families with fabulous beaches, great shopping and a trip to Fuengirola Zoo an absolute must. Further south still you'll come across the affluent resorts of Puerto Banus and Marbella, the ideal places to do some star spotting, not up in the sky but around the restaurants and bars of the prosperous marina, holiday hot-spot of the rich and famous. The Costa del Sol has been a strong favorite among winter holiday destinations for a long time with some people lucky enough to be able to come here for long stay holidays to escape the harsh British winter, and often enjoy temperatures in the high sixties.

Costa Blanca: Probably the first place that comes to mind here is Benidorm with its wide sandy beaches and concrete hotels full of family fun and entertainment that create an almost iconic skyline. The bucket and spade shops, neon lit karaoke bars, and hustle and bustle of this family friendly resort, epitomize everything that is good about great winter sun holiday destinations. Extremely popular with the older generation who love to 'retire' here to avoid the harsh British winters, yet increasingly popular with the younger generation, especially since the filming of ITV's 'Benidorm' series in this very town. There are other resorts in this area though; quiet and sophisticated Albir is just a twenty minute drive away and offers a more relaxing, laid-back outlook on life. There's also Alicante, home to the region's airport and one of Spain's quickest growing cities where the streets come to life with a superb choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. The weather in winter on the Costa Blanca is mild compared to much of northern Europe, there are the occasional cooler days, however the warm climate here makes it an extremely popular choice as one of the better long stay holiday destinations.

Majorca: Majorca has been one of the best year round holiday destinations since the rich and famous started coming here in the 1930's. By the 1980's though Majorca had become a little less affluent and was perhaps better known for cheap and cheerful holidays that everyone could afford, gaining a reputation as attracting 'lager louts' who paraded about in union jack shorts. Majorca has worked extremely hard on reinventing itself though and has re-established itself as one of Europe's favorite holiday destinations again, especially with families who return year after year to it's clean sandy beaches and resorts with excellent entertainment and great facilities. Winter months see temperatures remain above a healthy sixty degrees with around five or six hours of sunshine a day. The island's capital, Palma, is fast becoming one of Spain's most enticing and stylish cities, it's breathtaking cathedral stands majestically above the harbor, where multi million pound yachts bob in the warm winter sun. Holidays to Majorca have it all, from lazy beaches to vibrant nightlife, fascinating history to modern culture, making it the ideal place to choose out of the many winter holiday destinations on offer at the moment.

The Algarve: The Algarve's stunning rocky coastline covers an amazing 155km, and stretches from Cape St Vincent in the west to Villa Real de Santo Antonio to the east. Standing on the cliffs at Cape St Vincent you're at the most south westerly point in Europe and as you gaze out to sea, there's nothing between you and the American coast but the stunning Atlantic Ocean. It's also a bird spotter's paradise as many species stop off here as they migrate south for the winter. The Algarve is highly popular with golfers at any time of the year, but especially during the winter when the sun is not so hot and a stroll around the course is extremely pleasant. Many of the Algarve's sea side resorts started life as sleepy little fishing villages and while a lot have retained their traditional charm and tranquillity, despite the increase in tourist traffic, others have expanded into busy holiday destinations with superb water sports, varied family entertainment and vibrant nightlife.

Albufeira, Montechoro and Vilamoura combine traditional towns, stunning beaches and lively nightlife to perfection, while Praia de Luz and Alvor are superb examples of tranquil resorts and are very appealing to families. The regions capital Faro, also home to the Algarve's airport offers a historical look at the region with monuments and museums depicting Portugal's impressive heritage. The rocky coastline, mild winter temperatures and fantastic golf facilities will ensure that the Algarve continues to be one of the most popular winter holiday destinations for many years to come.

Top Holiday Destinations For British Holiday Makers

8 hours on a plane is a day wasted but nowhere 2 hours away is warm enough or far enough for me to really feel like I'm on holiday. So, where I ask myself is the best holiday destination from London and other parts of UK for us Brits?

The ideal flight time for me is 4-5 hours and looking on the world map, there are a host of warm, luxurious and relaxing destinations within that flying time. Shame, none of the travel companies like Best at Travel, Kuoni, Virgin Holidays, Letsgo2 or Holiday Hypermarket ever consider that. You end up searching these sites for hours with a highly confused state of mind. Having been through this, I decided to post a little research for those facing the same dilemma as me.

So, which are the best Holiday destinations for people flying from the UK?

This listing will help you find your next holiday.

First, where do us Brits go most on holiday? I went through some search records on Google and found the following:

Top Holiday Destinations (by number of travellers from UK every year)

1. Spain holidays Since Spain is the most popular holiday destination for us Brits with over a million searches a month, I've divided Spain into regions to fully calculate its popularity.

Majorca holidays - Majorca or Mallorca is heaven. I've been there myself. With a vibrant nightlife and amazing scenic views and beaches, this largest of all Spanish island tops Spanish holiday charts with over 300,000 monthly searches for Majorca alone. If you're looking for a party place or an opportunity to be in the quiet surrounded by nature, Majorca is your best bet.
Tenerife holidays - Tenerife is the largest of the 7 canary Islands in the Atlantic ocean. Just off the coast of Morocco, Africa, this Spanish territory commands the status of one of the most popular tourist destinations around the world. As they say, the place where spring never ends, Tenerife is the highest point of Spain with its Mount Teide volcano. The temperature averages 20 degrees celcius throughout the year and is considered to be the best in the world by many. 320,000 searches online every month.
Gran Canaria holidays - Also one of the seven canary islands, the Gran Canaria is the second largest and second most populated after Tenerife. Volcanic in nature, The Gran Canaria offers a unique natural experience, with fissure vents, different soil and vegetation. The Gran Canaria is famous for its family holidays and is full of well appointed resorts. 180,000 monthly searches.
Ibiza holidays - Ibiza is a beautiful little Spanish island located in the Mediterranean sea that has become hugely popular as a holiday top spot in the last 35 years. What makes Ibiza special is the extended coast line of sandy beaches, a chilled out way of life and seclusion. As all Spanish holidays, Ibiza town will offer you a buzzing nightlife and for those looking for peace and quiet, there are plenty of resorts surrounded by nature and tranquility. 135,000 searches per month.
Other notable Spanish holiday destinations - With a 100,000 British people searching for holiday packages in Benidorm, this is the 5th most popular Spanish holiday destination followed by Costa del Sol at 60,000 searches and Lanzarote (another beautiful canary island) with 55,000 searches. Recommended - Spain holidays

If you haven't yet experienced a Spanish holiday, you haven't yet been on your best holiday. Majorca alone gets 2.5 million British holiday makers a year and 2008 was a record high.

2. Cyprus holidays - Cyprus is the number 2 holiday destination for us Brits. On average, 400,000 of us search for Cyprus holidays online every month. Yes! Every Month! No wonder I've been to Cyprus twice myself. In Cyprus, most popular spots are Limassol and Paphos - Paphos is full of ancient sites as old as 4th century BC, lies in the southwest of Cyprus and is a world heritage site by UNESCO. Limassol is the capital of southern Cyprus and is a popular shopping destination.

3. Turkey holidays - With just under 400,000 searches on Google alone, Turkey is the third most visited holiday destination for British holiday makers. The ex-Ottoman empire with a taste of Asia within Europe, Turkey is a top holiday destination where you'll find snow-capped mountains and sunny beaches at a few hours' distance. Istanbul, the largest city is where we flock most to, to live the Sultan size life for a few relaxing days.

4. Greece holidays - Close on the heels of Turkey, Greece holidays are very popular amonst British people. With just under 400,000 searches online a month, we love Greece, especially the Island of Crete. Crete, as legend goes, was where the Greek God Zeus was born and is the present resting place of Greek Gods. The southern-most of all Greek islands, Crete is the meeting point of Africa, Asia and Europe. If you're looking for a busy, choc-a-block resort holiday, Greece is the place for you, where not UK holiday makers, but tourists from all over the world flck in great numbers.

5. Egypt holidays - Enter Africa - Egypt is our 5th most visited holiday destination and top-most in Africa. With 320,000 searches every month, we Brits get-away to Egypt often during the winter. The gorgeous clear waters of river Nile, 5000%2B years of history, tourist attractions like the pyramids and cities like the Sharm El Sheikh (the city of Peace) surrounded by the Red sea and Mount Sinai are top reasons for Egypt being a top holiday destination. I've been to Egypt twice and I'm in love with that place. People are friendly and forthcoming.

6. America Holidays

Las Vegas holidays - I would have imagined America to be much higher up in the list of our top holiday destinations, but the long plane journeys and shortage of natural beauty are two major reasons why most people visit the United States for its advancements, not untouched natural places. Las Vegas leads as one of USA's top holiday destinations. The city most popular for its casinos, gambling and high lifestyle attracts us Brits in large numbers every year.
New York city breaks -The world's capital city as its popularly known is the centre of all action. The list of tourist attractions is longer than London's and if you're expecting to get away, beware, you're getting back into the mad rush. New York is a great weekend or short stay holiday destination if haven't seen the Statue of Liberty or Madison Square Gardens.
Florida holidays - The sunshine state of the US - Fun doesn't end any time of the year in Florida. With 3 of the world's best amusement parks - Disneyland, Seaworld and Universal, Florida is also the world's amusement capital. Great place for family holidays.

7. Italy holidays - With 240,000 searches a month, Italy comes at number 6. Italy is made of two islands - Sicily and Sardinia. The mainland region of Italy is where holiday makers go in search of Roman empire history, leaning tower of Pisa, the Colosseums and Rome. Sicily is the largest Mediterranean island. Sardinia or Sardegna is a top holiday destination, famous for its natural beauty and beaches.

8. Caribbean Holidays - Caribbean Islands stand out as holiday destinations for the Americans (because of the proximity and short flights), but Europeans are not far behind. At a combined 200,000 searches per month from UK, The Caribbean is a fast growing holiday destination amongst us. The Caribbean refers to the Caribbean sea, islands in that sea and nearby coastal areas. Top holiday destinations within the Caribbean are Antigua holidays, St Lucia holidays, Jamaica holidays, Cuba holidays and Barbados holidays. Lying between North and South America, the Caribbean is famous for its holidays - from Golfing to sky-diving, fine dining to clubbing, there's nothing the Caribbean doesn't offer. That, at a time when Britain is freezing! No wonder, with recent media coverage, Caribbean holidays are busier than ever before.

9. Malta holidays - Coming back to Europe, Malta is a gorgeous island with an English connection. After gaining independence from United Kingdom in 1964, Malta developed itself as a top holiday destination. With English spoken widely, British people face no language barriers and holidays are even more fun. This Mediterranean island country offers some unique features like fishing villages, and a combination of Byzantine, Arab, Phoenician and St John Knights' culture, architecture and cuisine. 160,000 monthly searches.

10. Dubai holidays - The world's highest man made structure, world's first under water restaurant, world's first palm housing, world's longest shopping mall, world's first indoor ski system and world's highest tennis court are just the tip of the iceberg. Dubai - The city of the world's firsts opened its doors to the new world and we all visited in large number. Today, Dubai is the top holiday destination in the Middle East. With 150,000 searching for Dubai holidays every month, Dubai stands out amongst the 7 Emirates in UAE. With desert, beaches and mountains to offer, sunny holidays don;t get much better.

11. Maldives holidays - The paradise islands, as the 1 thousand two hundred fascinating Maldives islands are affectionately called, offer crystal clear waters and desert sands in the middle of Indian ocean. With 80 self sufficient islands cum resorts, you're never short of natural beauty, peace and tranquility. The top "get away from it all" holiday destination Maldives won't disappoint you. 120,000 curious British holiday makers search Maldives holidays every month.

12. Goa holidays - Further East, Goa is an English holiday maker's favourite Indian holiday destination. With Churches and Temples co-existing in this city they call "Tropical Paradise", you'll find miles of beautiful palm tree beaches and acres of windy paddy fields. Adding to its charm are old fortresses, wide roads and motor cycle hires. The Portuguese were defeated off Goa in 1961 by the Indian army and since then, Goa has grown into the most popular holiday destination within India. With an offshore casino, saturday markets by resident British people and a rock music culture, Goa will give you unforgettable memories. Or you might end up in Goa longer than you planned, like many others. 100,000 searches.

13. Thailand holidays - Further east from India, welcome to Thailand. Best time to visit is between June and October. The capital city of Thailand - Bangkok boats of some of the world's top 5 star hotels and is famous for its hospitality. Visit Thailand for a crash course in culture diversity and hospitality.100,000 searches.

14. Australia holidays - Melbourne is 22 hours and 30 minutes away from London. You better not plan a weekend break to Australia. A gorgeous country that holiday makers love, Australia is number 20 in this list only for its distance from the UK. Australia has everything from coral beaches, skyscrapers, nightlife, peace and tranquility, great standards of life, extreme sports - you name it. A great place for a long holiday, I rate Australia as one of my top holiday destinations and a must visit. Make sure you take out at least a couple of weeks to enjoy Australia fully.

15. Mauritius holidays - They say the beauty of Mauritius is its people. With clear waters, white sandy beaches and year-round holiday making, Mauritius is Asia's Spain. Tourists from India, China, Japan and other far east countries keep Mauritius abuzz the year round with traditional dances, customs and delicious seafood. Being close to mainland Africa, in the summer, Mauritius can be very hot and humid, and therefore the best time to visit is July to September (their winter). With British and French history, you won't face many language problems in this Indian ocean holiday destination. 70,000 searches.

16. Bali - The tiny yet perfect Indonesian island of Bali is the center of all action and one of Indonesia's top holiday destinations. Visit Bali for white sand beaches, awe-aspiring cliffs, nightlife and to submerge into the truly multicultural environment. 35,000 monthly searches for Bali holidays.

17. South Africa holidays - When you mention any part of Africa for holidays, wildlife plays an important role and South Africa is no different. South Africa is UK's top holiday destination in Africa for the British colonial connection. Amongst others, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town and Durban offer the best natural views and beaches. 30,000 monthly searches.

18. Hong Kong holidays - A few years ago, Hong Kong was a British territory. Now a part of China, Hong Kong is the most happening place in the far east. This majorly Buddhist city is a remarkable example of success of Capitalism and offers towering hotels, world's most modern luxuries and one of the most popular holiday destination within Hong Kong is Kowloon. For some peace, you can travel to the Sai Kung peninsula. 27,000 monthly searches.

Greece and Cyprus Ranked As Cheap Holiday Destinations

Greece and Cyprus earned a reputation of cheap holiday destinations for UK holidaymakers decades ago. Booking a package holiday to Greece or Cyprus is often the smartest and most cost effective way of gaining some valuable time off in the sunshine. Greece offers inexpensive packages based on self-catering accommodation, bed and breakfast hotels, as well as value luxury accommodation in all inclusive holiday complexes or boutique style properties. Both Greek mainland and the islands are associated with long hours of sunshine, thus making for equally long summer holiday season, usually starting in May and finishing in late October. Cyprus, on the other hand welcomes year-round visitors with its hot summers and mild winters. For many, it has become a place for long-stay holidays, even a second home.

Whether you are staying in your own holiday home or your accommodation is part of your holiday package inclusive of flights and airport transfers, there are usually other expenses associated with your stay in Greece or Cyprus. These can be anything from car rental to excursions, entertainment, meals and drinks or food purchased outside your holiday complex. Although these two countries have been labelled as 'expensive' after entering the Eurozone and the euro currency, current research based on consumer demands to show more transparency in the general cost of holidays shows that both Greece and Cyprus are actually ranked amongst the cheapest holiday destinations when it comes to the actual package holiday cost, as well as all associated expenses. Surprisingly enough, Greece is at the moment cheaper than Turkey, often perceived as the most economical holiday destination.

Usually holidays booked outside high season tend to be cheaper as opposed to travel during the peak months of July, August or late December. Holidays to Greece and Cyprus are no exception, therefore planning your trip in less busy time can benefit with even more holiday bargains. Greece and Cyprus are also ideal last-minute destinations when the tour operators and their local business partners tend to release the flight seats and last available rooms for a quick sale at bargain prices. Current unfavourable economic climate in Greece also means that the local hoteliers, transportation companies, restaurant and tourist facility owners have slashed their prices to a minimum to draw more visitors this year. This makes Greece even more attractive on the package holiday market.

When comparing the two destinations, current research shows that based on average cost of a holiday, Cyprus is slightly cheaper than Greece. The island boasts great accommodation capacities and fantastic beaches both on its southern and northern, the less commercialised coastline. Overall, both destinations provide enough attractions and beaches to satisfy every taste and budget and are traditionally a great option for all types of holidaymaker - the young and lively as well as families with children and the more mature customers. Choosing to holiday in Greece and Cyprus this year could mean enjoying a quality holiday for less money.
