We recently had the pleasure, for four nights and five days of El Dorado Royale Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. The resort is a 5 star All Inclusive Adult Only Spa Resort, a gourmet-inclusive theme. And it was gourmet-inclusive! Our stay was wonderful! Here are some comments and notes are on our A - F scoring system based
Check in - A. On arrival we were greeted in the lobby with fresh towels and a glass of champagne. We arrived at noon and the rooms wereready. Check in took a 5 minutes with a very friendly staff. We were a lock for the safe and given our room keys and we were ready to go.
The Resort Hotel is a very big place. It took six minutes to walk from place to our lobby, but that was not a problem because there take tram 20 10 minutes, anywhere in the property that each run on -. Because God knows, I need to lose weight, I tried to go as I could, even in the heat.Near each group of buildings is a tram stop. When walking through the lobby at the rear of the building on the left side, the Casita suites and on the right are the jr. suites with Jacuzzi. The resort is deceptively large.
Room: A After checking in, we have a tram to our room, a jr. building 54.suite jacuzzi on the back. When you enter an immediate left is the bathroom. This is a double sink, a marble shower and separate toilet. The package int he bathroom amenities were great. There was no shampoo, lotion, soap, toothbrush, shoes Shine kit, razor and shower cap. Additional facilities in the hot tub had shampoo, shower gel and a candle and matches.
Outside the bathroom is a desk and bed. The room had a great super comfortable king-size bed. Opposite the bed there was an office that opens to reveal for drawers, shelves, television and refrigerator.
There is a large hanging closet with safe in it, shelves and plenty of space. Across theThe bed is a Jacuzzi big enough for two people and places, so you can see the balcony. The balcony had two chairs, a table and hammock. My view overlooks the beach and water park. There was also a table and two chairs in the room to enjoy room service.
The room and bathroom were spotless and kept in this way have been during my stay.
Food: A + The food at this resort was outstanding. There are many restaurants, but not all were open, while I was there. All meals are ordered from the menu, but it is a breakfast buffet in the area Cocotels (see below that).
The food is art and everything was presented very tasty. The restaurants do not accept reservations, it is first come, first served '. I think it's best to book every day. There was no waiting in each restaurant, while I was there.
Cocotels: Cocotels is the main building. I ate breakfast here two days. You can select from a menu or buffet food(Or both). I opted for the buffet and was satisfied with the options available.
La Isla - this is an outdoor restaurant on the main pool. We had our first day at lunch, and had great selection of fresh fish and meat. I had a Surf and Turf meal (all kabobs), were very good.
In Italy - a fine Italian restaurant in the main building. I have not eaten here, but others remain in use, said the food was excellent.
JoJo - This is a beach restaurant with seafood,Meat and chicken dishes. I ate here twice to order steak and a pasta dish for the second time and was not disappointed. Also very nice to see the beach as you enjoy a meal.
Kampai This Asian restaurant in the Casitas area. Believe it or not, we had breakfast and that would be Asian-inspired dishes for breakfast was excellent to believe? I had macadamia crust coconut pancakes that were out of this world. One of my friends enjoyed cream cheese stuffed French toast with mangoSauce, and another had submitted the best Eggs Benedict I've ever seen!
The Fuentes: This is a nice restaurant, a cooking show is live. You can order your meal and then watch as a cook who prepares on giant screens in the restaurant. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open when we were at the resort, but is a unique concept and I imagine, very popular.
Pizza Cabana: This is outside the main pool, and you can order pizza and burgers.
HealthBar: The Casitas area, there are fresh fruits, juices and fast.
It was my understanding there was a fondue bar on the beach, but I do not see and I'm not sure that is still there.
bars there are 13 bars including swim-up bar and a martini (where most nights). The bartenders were excellent in every bar we went.
Entertainment and activities: B + The pool closest to my room was the pool of assets, where the games were played all day. Youis a card that tells you what activities are held throughout the day to find the pool. There were the usual games like water polo, kayak races, swimming pool and pool volleyball, bingo and some fun games throughout the day. It 'was an aerobics class, I water with the beautiful Paola, which took place at noon. There are also many you can use bicycles to ride around the property.
The evening entertainment did not seem to have many people here late at night. ThisEntertainment in Las Guyana (close to the cure of a second and a souvenir shop on the way to the pool of assets) and was usually the night 10.00 clock is only a handful of people left. The last night we were there to buy had a casino night, which gave you $ 3000 play money to play blackjack and roulette, and at the end of the night, you could offer the products. It 'was very hot and I played roulette for about half an hour and gave my boyfriend money on the table and went into the room. Itit was great fun, though!
My only complaint about the resort are having Internet access. I brought my laptop as I had to stay in touch with different clients. There was no wireless access if you were in a Casita. You can use the computers in Internet cafes minutes. For the three computers, only two have worked and it was always a line to use them. Many people were on their Facebook account (lots of free publicity for the resort posting!) Or be under reviewfor their flight the next day.
I spoke with a representative. The hotel, which was the management philosophy that people want to be able to relax on vacation, so they do not offer wireless expressed in all rooms. But in this day and age, you need access to the Internet, even if only to check email and check in for your flight to make sure a seat. I think that El Dorado needs to rethink this and wireless facilities in all rooms. It makes no sense have in Casitasbut not in other rooms.
Spa: A There are two spas of the resort, a wellness center with fitness activities near the pool and the new Spa Casitas, in Casita page of the site. The Casitas Spa is beautiful, with smoking in the inviting lobby and a room for hydrotherapy. Hydrotherapy is the freedom to stay in the casitas, a spa treatment is to buy, but those who do not pay at Casitas. When you buy a massage, you choose a man or a woman, which are givenMassage and as he did in the spa or at the beach (free).
I had a minute of back 50 and neck massage at the beach, I feel, luxurious pampering. What a relaxing way to spend an hour! Spa treatments are very cheap, especially compared to what you would pay on a cruise ship!
Overall: A
The resort was just beautiful. This is a half hour drive from the airport. The staff was always kind (my thanks to the customerService girls who helped me in an internet cafe 'with your computer not working and the password!) The resort was clean and well maintained.
This is only one adult (their sister resort, Azul, that families with children welcome). They offer wedding and vow renewals. There are more than 600 rooms at this location, but also smaller sites in the area - El Dorado Seaside, with 282 rooms and the intimate El Dorado Maroma, with 72 rooms and the spectacular presidentialVillas in all three locations. (You also Hidden Beach, the only all-inclusive luxury "natural" in the Mexican Caribbean resorts). El Dorado is something for everyone depending on the size of the resort you are comfortable with.
Every guest at the resort where we talked, he said the place. Not a murmur was heard.
I suggest one of the sites El Dorado (and we all visit and have pictures and video if you want to see them).
